Guitarduino

Who says you need to go out and buy an expensive electric guitar to start playing? With GuitArduino my team, Alvin Coessens, Lucas Daniels and myself, created a lightweight experimental guitar with nothing more than an Arduino, some light sensors, some copper plates and a bunch of wires. We hooked up the Arduino to a laptop were we translated the binary signals of the copper touch plates and the light sensors to guitar sounds in FL studio. The exterior of the guitar was made out of wood with the use of a lasercutter.
